Every patch tells a little story, and none of them are real, which keeps it light-hearted.
Worn Leather, Busy Patches
The leather is distressed in an olive-tan shade, a faded military colour that sits between khaki and light brown. The distressing gives the surface a natural, uneven character, so it looks like it has flown a few missions before reaching you. Soft knit trim finishes the collar, and the bomber body stays short and easy through the torso.
Five or six embroidered and chenille patches do the talking. Look for the wings, the flag, the name tape and the squadron badge, scattered across the chest and sleeves in the way a flight jacket collects them. The look nods to vintage military clothing, but it is an inspired design and not official service issue. Several of our other flight bombers are brown, so the olive-tan gives you a clearly different option.

Wearing It and Keeping It Looking Good
Keep the rest simple so the patches stay readable. A plain white or grey tee, dark jeans and worn boots complete the look. In colder weather, a thin crew-neck knit underneath works well.
The fit is a regular bomber cut with room in the chest. Choose your usual size to wear it over a tee, and add one size if you want a sweater beneath. Look at the size chart for the shoulder and sleeve length.
Patches and distressed leather need slightly different handling. Do not scrub the embroidery, and dab any marks gently with a soft damp cloth. Condition the leather lightly a few times a year, since a dry worn finish can crack if neglected. Let it air out on a wide hanger and keep it away from heat. Because the finish is already aged, small scuffs will simply add to the look.
